How does HPV vaccine works?
HPV Types 16 & 18 are responsible for cervical cancer. These vaccines make the body's immune system produce antibodies to these HPV types. The antibodies protects the body from getting infected with HPV. The vaccines are given in a series of three shots. In a 6 month period frame you will get all the three shots. The vaccine is recommended to all girls and women from the age of 9 years to 40 years old
Is it safe to take the vaccine?
Studies show that the HPV Vaccine is safe. The common side effects include bruising, itching, redness or tenderness around the area shot is given. There is no other major side effect that has been reported yet.
