#1. Awesome threesome

Take half a cup of yogurt. Add a teaspoon of honey to it. Mix it well. To this mixture, add less than half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply the mask to your hair and let it be for 20 minutes. Post that, wash your hair with a mild shampoo. Ensure to rub the scalp thoroughly so as to not leave any residue of the mask.

Yogurt and honey nourish the hair and add shine to it, while lemon juice balances the oil-secretion from the scalp.

#2. The liquid mask

Take a cup of green tea and add a few drops of peppermint essential oil. Two to three drops should suffice. To this, add one tablespoon of white vinegar. Mix the liquid well. Now, let your hair be under runny water. While your hair is wet, pour the green tea mixture and leave the liquid mask on to your hair for some 5 minutes. Rinse the hair with a mild shampoo, rubbing the scalp thoroughly to let the liquid leave.

Take a ripe avocado. Mash it in a bowl. Now, add two tablespoons of olive oil to it. Blend the paste well. To this, add two tablespoons of honey. Stir the mixture well and apply to your hair - all the strands and the scalp. Leave the mask on for some 45 minutes. After that, rinse your hair with shampoo and let it dry.

#4. Peel that orange

Fruits that you eat are great not just for your body but also for your hair. In this simple hair treatment, all you have to do is to take the peels of orange, add a bit of lime juice to it and blend the ingredients in a mixer. Apply this paste on your scalp and hair. Leave it on for the next 30 minutes and then rinse well.

Orange peel in combination with lemon juice acts as dandruff controller. Orange in general also strengthens your hair.

#5. Only an onion

Take a large onion and grind it in a mixer. Make it into a smooth paste. Now, apply that paste on your scalp and hair until it is fully covered. Leave it on for an hour and then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Onion has antimicrobial properties that help keep dandruff at bay. Apply this paste once a week to see fruitful results.

#6. Crushed mask

Take a few cloves of garlic. Crush them into a paste. Add a tablespoon of honey to it. Apply this paste on your hair. Gently massage through your scalp as well. After some 30 minutes have passed, it’s time to wash your hair with a sulfate-free shampoo.

Take two egg whites for oily hair or egg yolks for dry hair or whole eggs for normal hair. Take two tablespoons of olive oil, one cup of yoghurt, and one tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients well and make it into a smooth paste. Cover your scalp and hair with this paste. Leave it on for some 20 minutes. After that rinse your hair with a mild shampoo.

The egg adds protein to your hair and also adds nourishment to it. When all ingredients are combined they together fight dandruff keeping your hair healthy and shiny.

#8. For a stronger hair

Take two egg yolks or more if your hair is long. Add coconut oil to it. Stir the mixture to make it into a smooth paste. Now, apply it on your hair. Let your hair be for close to 45 minutes. Post that, use a mild shampoo to wash off your hair. Remember not to use the paste on an already oily hair.

The egg yellow gives protein to your hair and thereby strengthens the hair strands. Coconut oil add softness to the hair, also helps to avoid the smell that only egg mask may give off even after shampooing the hair. This mask also helps to keep dandruff on the bay.

#9. Finding a solution in fenugreek seeds

In this treatment, you will need fenugreek seeds. Soak the seeds in water and leave them overnight. The next day morning, grind the seeds with hibiscus leaves. A handful of hibiscus leaves will do. Take half a cup of yoghurt and add the mixture. Now, blend the paste so as to make it smooth. Apply it on your hair and let it be for close to 30 minutes. Make sure to apply the paste on your scalp as well. Post that, use a shampoo to wash your hair.  

This paste is an excellent way to treat dandruff. Hibiscus is primarily used for that purpose. Fenugreek seeds add shine to your hair. So, both the concerns of dandruff and roughness gets solved at a time.

#10. The trio at work

Take half a cup of sour curd. Add two tablespoons of mayonnaise to it. Stir the mixture. Now add another two tablespoons of aloe vera to it. Mix the paste until it is smooth. Apply it on your hair and leave the mask on for some one hour. Rub the paste gently on the scalp. Rinse your hair with shampoo after an hour.

Sour curd treats dandruff on your scalp while mayonnaise and aloe vera adds moisture and shine to your hair.

#11. A bit of banana for your hair

This one hair mask is highly recommended for it does overall nourishment of the hair.

Take two bananas and mash them in a bowl. Ensure there are no lumps left. To this mashed banana paste, add one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of olive oil, and one tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply this mixture to your hair and leave it on for 1 hour. Post that, rinse the hair with a mild shampoo, preferably sulfate free.

Banana is a great conditioner and it soothes the scalp. Lemon juice keeps dandruff away from the scalp.

#12. Awesome Twosome

Take two tablespoons of coconut oil and add two tablespoons of lemon juice to it. Now gently massage the liquid to your scalp. Let it also soak your hair strands. If you have very long and voluminous hair, you may need more tablespoons of oil and lemon juice. Let the quantity be according to your need. Keep your hair soaked in oil and lemon juice for close to 45 minutes. After that rinse it with shampoo and pat with a clean towel. Remember to not rub your hair with the towel. That may cause split ends.

The coconut oil has antimicrobial properties that are healthy for your hair. Lemon juice keeps dandruff at bay.  

#13. Go liquid

Take one-fourth cup of apple cider vinegar. Add an equal amount of water to it. Now, apply the liquid on your hair and let it work on your hair for 15 minutes. Apple cider vinegar unclogs all your scalp follicles and also helps to get rid of dandruff.

#14. Rub it in

This is a simple way of staying dandruff free and keeping your hair healthy. Wet your hair and then rub a spoonful of baking soda on to your scalp. Leave the powdery mask on for an hour. Post that, rinse with shampoo until the water runs clear.

#15. Make a simple gel

Take aloe vera gel in a bowl. Add a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil to it. Apply the mixture to your hair and let it be for close to 30 minutes.
