With time, even a bear can learn to dance” - Yiddesh proverbs
How can one learn dance ? A bubbling question every shy person has in their heart.
Dance is the language of our soul, deep down everyone knows how to dance but only few people possess the key to completely express themselves as only few people are gifted with the art of speaking the language of their soul.
Taking dance classes can help an individual better themselves at expressing but how does one overcome the fear of performance! which restricts us from involving in something we want to do wholeheartedly.
Everyone can dance without going through the fuss of learning only if they feel confident enough about their moves and self- belief plays a major role in self- expression through dance.
So, the first step towards achieving success in the field of dancing is when one learns to let go, when there’s no holding back our moves is we don’t bother paying attention to who’s watching us! It is an art to express and to feel free.
When you can't move freely try taking deep breaths, slowly and steadily to help you calm down your nerves.
Inner strength can only be regained by deep and calm breaths.
Hence, practice taking slow and regular breaths, wait for a few seconds and then start exhaling, you’ll feel much better and then you can start practising again.
As once said accurately “Try, try but don’t cry” once in a habit of regular practice you’ll definitely overcome from this fear.
When you overcome what is holding you back then you can anything you want.
There are many ways by which you can learn how to dance,
You can do it by yourself or you can seek from a professional instructor.
Watching videos on platforms like YouTube etc. can act as a boon and all you have to do is just watch and repeat what’s being taught in those clips. The most important thing you should keep in mind is that being particular with dance moves don’t matter if you are enjoying yourself while dancing!
Because nothing is more beautiful than feeling free!
“Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance. Great dancers are great because of their passion.”-Martha Graham
