Mom. Wife. Communications & SoftSkills Trainer. Foodie. Dreamer. People-watcher. Nature-admirer.
Basically a Microbiologist; now Products/Technology Evangelist @Zoho.
You can talk to me about work-life balance; returning to work after maternity; gender equality; women in workforce; and about parenting.
I have made a lot of mistakes, so, I have a lot of notes to share. :-)
#YesAllWomen
Be brave. Be bold. Make your choice.
Be passionate. Be compassionate.
Be competent. Enjoy the competition.
Be at peace. Be together.
Be inspired by the BRAVE WOMEN of the past.
Be inspiring to the many generations to come.
Shame should be the same
For both boys and girls.
Learning self-defence should be important
To both boys and girls.
A man is raped
A girl is molested
They are hurt the same
The shame on humans should remain the same.
Make friends. Those that appreciate your kindness AND your courage.
Find mentors. Who flame your passion, and not make you guilty of being a woman.
People judge. We all judge.
Be nice to yourself.
The world needs more women. Braver ones. Kinder ones. Bold ones. Beautiful ones.
Savitribai Phule - first of the kind teacher, activist.
Susan B Anthony - fought for women's right to vote.
Rosa Parks - Mother of modern day civil rights movement.
Agnodice - first woman gynaecologist - in an era when women were legally prohibited from the healing arts.
Boudicca, Joan of Arc, Mirabai
Jane Austen, Margaret Fuller
Queen Victoria, Marie Curie
Annie Besant, Indira Gandhi
Margaret Thatcher, Anne Frank
Malala Yousafzai, J K Rowling
And many many more thousands of women.
Didn't choose safety. Weren't scared.
They thought of the big picture
Something that is larger than themselves.
Didn't stay home. Didn't feel guilty of not taking care of family.
Do not listen to people who say - stay at home; be safe
And they wait to use the infamous line "I told you so!"
Be situationally aware. Create your own big picture.
Be out there. We owe a lot to ourselves and the future, and the world belongs to us.
Please get out. Celebrate yourself. Let's celebrate this one life that each of us got.
I am a communicator at heart whose current focus is on helping entrepreneurs understand the value that Zoho products can add to their business. I have been part of Zoho's growth story for last seven years and I am an ardent fan of 'explain-it-like-I'm-five' concept.
I have been in the workforce for over 14 years now, and have been a copy-editor, voice & accent and personality, and communication skills coach, and now a products/startup ecosystem evangelist.
I like to give back to the society, and environment, as much as I receive from it. I have been, and still am, a friendly-mentor for many girls and women from my workplace, and from other working communities, and I guide them based on my experience and the knowledge I gained out of it.
Seeing more women in the workforce, eliminating unconscious and conscious/implicit gender bias, getting back to work after maternity, creating opportunities to grow at workplace - are areas very close to my heart.
