Hi Ratna, It's important to give time to kids in their initial years of development. A few of us are privileged enough to do it and good to know that you've chosen mom life over corporate for a few years. In today's situation when companies are changing maternity laws and the workplace is becoming more understanding to women taking a break or opting for flexi time a break of 23 years will not be a major hindrance to your career. You may have to start off again where you left in terms of salary, depending on the responsibilities you've handled. It will also help if you learn a few skills / work on your own (if possible) on things that'll keep you in touch with your industry. All the best and enjoy this phase of motherhood! Cheers Akshaya >
