What Will I Learn?

• Know how to create longer movies from a series of video clips.
• Apply filters and effects to videos.
• Add sound effects and music to videos.
• Find out how to add titles and transitions to tie your video clips together.
• Edit and manipulate video clips to craft a nice video for personal or casual work use.
• Learn about special iMovie techniques like overlays, green screen, animated maps and backgrounds.

Requirements:

• You should have a basic familiarity with using Macintosh computers, such as the menu bar, System Preferences, web browsing, and so on. You should also know how to record video on your iPhone, camera or other device and transfer those to your computer. It will be useful to have a set of existing videos to try out the techniques in this course as you learn them.

Who is the target audience?

• Typical Mac users with an interest in putting together videos. This is not a pro-level course and iMovie is not a pro-level app. However, iMovie is capable enough to use for a variety of simple and casual work projects.
