As such I didn't notice any discrimination against women in the branch (Blore) I worked for. I was there only for a year. I was in sales and marketing, as there are various departments I am not sure how others work within Toi. Toi is very huge to comment on collectively.
As far as my experience as a journo is concerned it has been a great platform for me to gain experience knowledge with such a huge brand like TOI, Generally speaking TOI is a very safe place to work but has some erratic work hours you need to cope with that . The brand is demanding.
TOI offers lot of facilities for woman workers but you cant take much leaves unless it is very crucial and important. You may also need to travel in your work profile which i did balancing both my work and my family with kid husband and mom in law.
The work culture is healthy, one is allowed to pursue stories that he/she is interested in, money is lucrative and the amount of respect you earn for working with such an esteemed brand is unparalleled.
2TOI is a very comfortable space for any woman to fit in. Ofcourse, the workload is high (that's what one makes money for), but the safety for female workers is one of the major priorities of the offices. If a woman works till late night, then a known driver who drives the office car would drop her home. Also, the office totally supports you during your chums and the boss might even comfort you with a bouquet of chocolates (yay!)
Things also depend upon the kind of colleagues one gets in her office, but going with my experience of the brand, its an absolute thumbs up!
