Pros I would say you can enjoy flexible benefits be it the time or leaves and the pay of course. And cons, i would point out the deadly targets set for each process. But it is quite challenging and interesting to work with.']
I have worked with IP and Science department at Thomson Reuters. As you know, Thomson Reuters is one of the top most companies, no company is without work pressure. We should take it in a positive way and prove ourselves. My suggestion is to join in any other departments instead IP and Science. Thomson Reuters is one of the leading companies in IP and Science, so obviously pressure will be more. It's better if you can join in any other departments..
Thomson Reuters is a very good and safe place to work. It will give u exposure to the world of financial market and in true sense MNC feel.
For women it is one of the best places to be. One has to be flexible to work there. It depends on the team one joins about workload and timings. After joining one can over a period look for suitable internal openings to match one's timing.
a) Safe place to work. There will be no harassment (any kind of harassment) for Women.
b) If they are offering good package, then yes you can count it as an advantage.
c) Very good place to learn things because it is mostly people driven company rather than procedure driven.
d) No politics - atleast not as much if you compare it with other corporates.
a) Atmosphere is very strict in Thomson. In other words, I would say it is not an employee friendly company.
b) Growth rate may be slow after you join. Monetary benefits are very less. Appraisals are very much delayed.
I worked in Chennai. It has various branches world wide. In Chennai I will give 10 out of 5. That much great place to work not only in safety purpose it also employees friendly. Where ever it has a rules and regulations which supports women and it has zero tolerance to harassment. If anyone is proved that he is harassing inside the work place without any hesitation they will terminate them for sure. So without any hesitation she can join in Thomson Reuters. People may vary depending on the place. as per company etiquette it's women friendly company for sure.
1. Great place to work given the flexibility offered to women employees.
2. Have never felt any gender bias during my tenure
1. Markets being a little hard, targets are high and difficult to achieve. However for those who can work best under pressure can make a pro out of a con right.
