TMF is a good place to work in. The employees are quite friendly and courteous. One main problem that i would say is that they do not have any child care facilities in house for mothers with young children. Having said that, the hr take our individual situations into consideration and see if they can find a way for us to do our job while not compromising on our family responsibilities.
Tata motors is a women friendly place to work in terms of environment and facilities:
As a parent I see good facilities available -
There is a very good creche here - for children upto the 3 to 4 years
A school right opposite the main gate - Vidya Niketan English medium school.
She can also apply for housing at Telco colony - which is again right opposite main gate.
The Bus facility is available from all corners of Pune.
I am stating the above because I know that as a parent - its important to work close to home and be near the kids.
Also there is a facility to work for Half day Half pay - in case of family/ child care.
Which means - either you work 8:30 to 1pm or work 3 full days and take 3 offs (in a week) just in case of some family care or child care where you also need to be at home.
We used to have alternate saturdays off - but now we work 6 days - so that is something she needs to take a call on.
There arent any flexible working hours - But office timings are 8:30 to 5:00pm - so that gives enough of time at home everyday. (people rarely work after 5)
