The pros for women working at Synergy are not too many. The organisation does attempt to follow international practices and they do have policies on paper that are women friendly. In theory the organisation appears women friendly.
The cons are that in reality the organisation has a clear bias towards male employees especially in core jobs. The male-female ratio is skewered completely in favour of male employees because the management does not like to hire women as they can't put in long hours or travel frequently for long stretches. As head of their recruitment team I was given discrete instructions by the management not to hire women of marriageable age or those who were at a child bearing stage. The long hours and frequent travel also does not make it conducive for a women with young kids and responsibilities.
