Being a University it has numerous departments. The university seems like a positive place for women to work as I see equal number of both sexes in most departments, with some departments having more women working there. Many of the individual schools under NMIMS university have women as their deans. However, the key decision makers and trustees seem to be men.
I believe there is a one year probation period for the faculty however I am not sure about the probation period for the administrative workforce. The University pays its faculty handsomely (better packages as compared to some other private and government colleges and universities; again no idea about the administrative senario).
I rarely see people do overtime here.

you wouldn't get a lot of public holidays off as is the norm with other universities like Mumbai university.
Like any other working place I do see some intra-department and inter-department politics here as well; although none specifically directed towards women that I know of
