I did not feel any special treatment being doled out to women here - so no specific 'pro' really.. if you are pregnant and ask for some leeway you will get it in terms of timing but nothing more can be expected. In fact I was politely asked to leave as my timings post delivery / after having the baby could not be accommodated and they didn't have anything 'suitable' for me to do post my maternity leave. HR went on to say that the job required a stress-free environment at home which I might not have after a baby.
All the departments in Hindustan Times, barring administration would be high pressure jobs e.g. editorial, marketing, media marketing etc. There are no special concessions for women and one should be prepared to work late and even at odd hours.
Pros: Organized, professional and system driven. Mgmt. and team is also qualified & professional.
Cons: Very less women in organisation specially at middle and upper mgmt. In long run a woman has to struggle a lot to create her own space and has to regularly prove herself.
