It is not so much friendly environment concerned with working mothers.
Because, time is big crunch for women in retail banking.
Concerning growth within your career, being concerned for your family too is not possible. You have to overlook your family for career.
It depends on your senior how much flexibility he may allow you on your seat concerning your kids needs.
Not supportive at all.
Long working hours.. seldom grant leaves , after too much pleading, even though leaves are pending. HR is just good for nothing. HR policies are very good, but nothing is implemented..
Timings are too bad, totally depends on your boss upto him/her if you can leave on time. officially company has lot of HR policies(it has to have since it is a huge organisation) but hardly has any in practice.
If u will ask me abt hdfc bank brand wise very nice bank with lot of work good customer ,better place to work ,if you are fully career oriented.
Now as per your qn will frankly telling you if you have helping hand (specially fr womem)at home then only Its possible with this bank.
Late sitting is obivous in all branches.very hard to balance personal life and professitional life
If you can handle the pressure then go for it.
pros- good salary n perks from the banks, strong brand , good training provided by the bank.
Cons: unsupportive seniors( bcoz i hv a bad experience with them, u may b lucky 2 hv good boss), late working hrs., excess pressure of sales of banking products no matters even if u r working in non-sales, pressure of giving digital demo to the customers whether they r using internet or not.
I worked with HDFC in Kanpur, a small metro town. The timings are specifically a problem, if I r all alone to manage home & kids, and this goes for not only HDFC but in any corporate set up.
Generally the systems are good, nice warm place to work. She is going to love the work and environment. They provide equal opportunities to women, no doubt.
I would like to share my experience with HDFC Bank Ltd. I worked with bank for 5 and half years. I felt myself blessed that I worked with so many wonderful people's in the bank. It's the best work place for any woman to work.
Bank provides equal opportunity to everyone to grow and rise.
The HR of the bank is very much supporting .
I learnt at lot with the bank not only professionally but personally.
I strongly recommended HDFC Bank
*Provides equal opportunity to everyone
*Timely training section for professional growth
* Yearly reviews and one to one section with HR where u can raise your issues ...if any
* some might says work pressure...but dats everywhere in corporate world...one should know how to delt with it.
As the days when the work pressures used to be on higher side, we even have to stay back and finish the work. Banks usually don't provide any cabs.
See the pros and cons are same as another work place. If you perform you will be appreciated and if not then lay offs. But net net it is a good option. Stress is a part of profession these days.
