Fidelity is a good workplace for women
1. Because of its emphasis on work life balance : many Sr leaders encourage you to leave office on time.
2. Security infra including transport policies is good,
3. It keeps coming up with initiatives for returning women and even hosts talks with multiple sr women leaders to allow ladies to share success stories. During my time at Fidelity, we had the benefit of interacting with many ladies in Sr positions.
But like with any office, your work culture will depend on your manager, but the Sr leadership sets the tone for them to emulate.
Cons of Fidelity:
There is always some glass ceiling. Men:women ratio in leadership is skewed. Working from home is not encouraged or discouraged.
Do check with your manager on your need for a laptop in either case, as women (with a high tendency for dedication) tend to want to stretch more
