I worked at e-Serve it was part of Citigroup. The managers were very helpful and there were many training programs to improve your skill. Also there were many social activities within the office and lot of cross training opportunities.
I would rate Citibank 4 on a scale of one to 5 there are many facilities offered towomen employees in citibank and now they have started with childcare benefits too.I ahd to quit as i had to move abroad otherwise i wouldnt ahve ever quit citibank. It is a great place to work Having said that sometimes there is a ot of work load and due to that mostly we have to sit till alte and finish our work. The work is not equally distributed many a times and all that totally depends on the manger and cost cutting policies of the Bank. So ladies end up sitting late to complete their work.
a) Excellent facilities for employees.
b) Child care benefits like reimbursement of day care expenses etc.
a) Citi never sleeps is very true there is a lot of work and less people so you tend to be overloaded with work and you end up sitting late to get it done which may disrupt your personal time with your family.
b) Growth is slow and a lot of internal politics is there but i guess that is the case with all the MNC's.
I loved my time with citibank and i would recommend citibank to anyone who would want to joint but yes it has its own flaws too but if you are able to manage your time and if you have a good boss it is a great company to work with.
Its a great organisation to wok with .My experience has been really good.on the scale of 1 to 5 i would give 3.5.
See as far as pros and cons are concerned it totally depends on the department she will be working with and the city where she will be working .for e.g i was in the operations dept. and was based in a small city
so mine was a very taxing job, long sitting hours before and after the bank timings, internal audits ,lot of file management.,customer handling e.t.c,but at the same time my seniors were very supportive ,so i got to learn a lot .
Citi as an organisation has a lot of scope to grow and learn so i would suggest that she should grab the opportunity and make the most out it .
Yes it is a very good place and oppurnity to work with Citi Mortgage, I have learnt a lot and you can deliver the work peacefully. I was a foreigner there so I was restricted to some parts of the information as I was in the treasury department , and I respect that but felt a little awkward as first time I realized that I was not part of the important technical analysis. But then it is a very safe place as per the job security per say also.
