It is not at all women friendly and women managers are the worse as they will never understand and she being a single mother will never get an opportunity to spend time with her kids as they dont understand the condition.
Capgemini after merger with IGATE have male employees who are not at all women friendly and they dont consider anything also inform her that there is 1% hike every year which is worse and the 1% they put in variable pay which means u dont get any hike.
The work life balance and flexibility depends completely on the project manager. Most of the projects work in the 11 to 8 or 12 to 9 schedule which, becomes difficult when you are a mother. However, some Managers would let you to login from home.
The situation may have changed now after the acquisition of IGate. I left Capgemini before the acquisition.
They have very flexible policies to WFH or split working hours to make them comfortable.
I do not see any cons as such provided you have a nice Manager else company has very good policies for women employees.
It mostly depends on the project and on the location as well, but few things are very common across all is -
No work from home facility
No special concession during ladies bad days
No fixed office hours for the ladies.
Drop of the ladies employees depends on project whether they will approve it or no.
Very very dirty politics all around the work place.
It's a good company for career growth learning perspective. Micro management is not done, however completing 9 hours in mandatory. Managers are good, they respect the resources and give freedom in work. Work culture is really good in Capgemini.
Regarding female friendliness, Capgemini doesn't distinguish between male and female employees.
