While i was working there, i saw lot of initiative for flexibility for women. Policies like work from home and part time work option was available, in agreement with your manager. I never had to stay late night in CA, but yes the work spilled over to late evenings to cover for the US timings. That being said, it all depends on the work profile and the role.
PRO: Flexibility, pays well, lot of activities, chance to grow, lot of two way communication with HR/leaders is encouraged.
Cons: It was very much manager driven at that time, not lot of healthy food choices in the canteen, the company thrives a lot on networking, Although work from home option is available to avail, but still leaders expects lot of visibility in office.
Top things to keep in mind to sustain a good career at CA, along with your work you must focus on :
1. Networking & Relationship Management
2. High Visibility in Office and meetings
3. Take Initiatives and provide innovative ideas about anything - process, technology, documentation, etc
There exists a facility of working from home for any employee when in need. Company maintains a couple of laptops and data card for each team. I have personally availed a 2 month period of work from home facility, before going on maternity leave.
Later to my resignation, there were few more facilities planned in favor of employees - there is a Montessori and day care running in the office premises, now.
Unlike any other company, work and deliverables are the same for any employee. The timelines will not be relaxed.
As an over all feedback, CA Technologies India Limited is a good place to work at.
Pros and Cons depends on the job role, location and manager. If its technical role with job retirement of 24/7 shift then its really bad. The life would be tough if you are not favourite of your manager. This is the most common and well known ethics of the company. The manager will strictly follow Lick n Luck policy for shift allotment n promotion. The HR team is just to do whatever can keep manager happy.
