It is great place to work again it still depends on the team and manager you join with. I had a wonderful manager and colleagues... Great career growth and prospectus ... Its been a great place to work always. There are lot of flexibility like work timings/work from home options depending upon the team. It depends upon the team they work there are chances of working during weekends/sale time where we need to put in extra time to work. Apart from that the work environment is good. you can relax and work.
My experience at Amazon India had been extremely good. It was a pleasure and every day was both challenging and exciting. I had personally loved every moment I had been with them.
Even the night shifts are extremely safe. Night shifts are inevitable there, though you do get special considerations at times. Now, when we talk about gender equality everywhere, we should be prepared for such things too , I guess.
Finally, I would say if you are ready for the night shifts, Amazon is one of the best places to work, where you can always enrich your skills and aim higher. The growth aspects at Amazon too are very friendly. With an amazing work atmosphere and lucrative incentives and perks, I personally think that Amazon is a wonderful place to be in.
Firstly the Brand gives a whole new level of upliftment to your profile when you get an Amazon Experience
The team is always waiting to receive new ideas from the resources. There is always space to grow
WorkFromHome flexibility (as a woman this helped me a lot)
Huge targets(Task dependent) which always keeps increasing every year
On-Call support expected almost everytime
Expectancy level of your performance is always way too higher Managers expect you to perform 5X times than what you think. You can never sit back thinking you are done with your targets. You are expected to innovate round the year as well
Very less pay and huge work drawn
To conclude with,I would say my personal experience was really good with Amazon. I loved the work as such but yes there has always been this work pressure.
Very safe place for women to work with transport and every other concerns taken care of.
Pros: I wont be able to define as it differs from team to team.
Cons: one needs to be very flexible. Mostly rotational shifts. You may get a call to work at any time. Many teams do not have weekend off. Performance review is very strict and you are not going to get any advantage just because you are a woman and have other responsibilities too.
But as an organisation, it is a dream place to work and i would highly recommend.
