ITC Corporate Office is an extremely women friendly place to work. I did not face any problems in the one year that I worked there.
I really cannot point out specific pros and cons about working in ITC. The organization is open minded and is not biased.
Pros ( Work life balance is too good. Employees and colleagues are very helpful more like an extended family. They have Strict rules and regulations on sexual harassment policy. There are various fun events which always takes place so that the employees have a good time at work in between work.)
Cons ( Growth opportunity is not very good same like most of the IT companies . Not the best payers also for promotion it takes time.)
Best company to be if you want a work life balance.
It is very much safe for women to work at ITC GC. I worked there even before the hotel operations started. As I belong to HR department I very well knew what was happening in the other departments.
There is a department of security in the hotel who looks after the employees too. It follows the welfare measures for the employees. I haven't come across or bear any bad situation. Depending on the shifts of the employees we used to have drop facility. You can check with if that still exists.
ITC Infotech is an awesome workplace for females esp New mothers. The way ITC infotech helped me when I was expecting and then when I was a new Mother was unbelievable.
ITC Infotech is not very high pressure , but easy going, they understand your personal situations, there is no threat of losing job if you are good, not too many late hours or nights.
It's not a jazzy workplace. It's bit laid back . It is governed by corporate ( manufacturing) industry culture than software culture as the parent company is in manufacturing so there is a easy vibe. They are not running after projects but there is always work for everyone. There are appraisals, promotions, salary hikes, trainings, team outings, annual days, fun.
There are no downsides I can think of other than that they do not provide transport or did not when I was there.
I loved it and would be my first choice if I have to get back to work after my break.
One of the best in the industry.
I lost my spouse last year right after taking a break from ITC. The kind of support I received from ITC for myself and my 2 kids actually helped me resurrect my family.
The only flip side is career growth is steady but slow as we have a huge work force.
