AIGS is a good place to work and there are no gender biases as such and it is safe for women to work.
The college is filled with international students which has its on pros and cons. It gives an exposure to know diverse culture on a global platform but handling them is also quite difficult due to cultural and global differences. The institution is situated at a remote area of the city but has transport facilities for staff and students. The timings of work would be 9am to 5pm (Mon-Sat) but work off on third Saturday of every month and all the government holidays are considered unlike corporate sector. Salary is also good and it depends on the experience of the candidate, qualification and the mode of hiring (part-time/full time/guest lecturer).
Apart from teaching, every faculty has to play the role of proctor for 30students where you need to mentor and monitor those students with respect to their academics, attendance and maintain rapport with their parents. This proctor work is very hectic and poses a lot of challenges but depends on how an individual handles it. After a year, you will also be assigned as a class teacher where you need to monitor the grades of the whole class in every subjects and also handle students issue if they belong to your class.
