HI Sonali, \\nI've been working for travel content firm for more than 9 years. During my tenure I have been actively involved in content development and management for in flight entertainment and car navigation apps. I have been working as a team head for over 8 years. I'm looking for career shift . I would like to pursue advertising, media or human resource management. I particularly wish to work for a radio channel. My qualifications are BA in psychology and MA in English literature. Do you think a certificate or diploma course will help me better for this career shift . If so, could you please advise a course that would help in the long run . Because with this career shift Im apprehensive about a significant drop in my current salary. \\nThanks.\\nAkshita.

Hi Akshita,\n\nLet me focus on your interest in 'radio'. A few questions you may like to\nanswer before we move to the course suggestions. Why do you want to look at\na career in radio? Have you spoken to people who work in the radio industry\nand tried to understand roles? Content development is most certainly a role\nin 'radio'. And if you wish to go there, then a Mass Comm degree or a\nsimilar degree works. Typically, people who work in content in 'radio' and\nsome of who I know have done a full degree course in\nCommunication/Advertising/Mass Comm. So you will be up against them, just\nto give you a heads up. However, with your experience in content, a diploma\nmay be good too. Here's something for you to study.\nhttp://www.xaviercomm.org/diplomacourses/default.htm\n\nOther than Xaviers, there will be other colleges too who offer such diploma\ncourses.\n\nI would suggest you do your research first about the kind of roles and the\nsalary etc. in the 'radio' industry talk to a lot of people who are\nexperienced in radio. If this still interests you, go for research about\nthe several courses available in your location or area of preference and go\nfor it.\n\nYou may also look for a short project/internship with a radio channel to\nunderstand how things work there and if they pique your interest and\ncreativity. This may be unpaid, but still gives you a chance to check\nthings out before you jump.\n\nAll the best! Hope I have answered your question.\n\n
