Hi Sonali, It is a great pleasure reading about you and life hacks. I am currently working in an MNC as a SAP Consultant. With time I have realized that technical field is not my cup of coffee. Although I am growing well in my job financially, but I see little and stagnant learning growth now. With time I have developed frustration and boredom in my job. I have a flair for writing and English language. I am an active Toastmaster Club since last 1 year. I like to read, speak and write english. Sometimes I feel to immerse my life in the pool of English language ;) I have no experience as a Content Writer but I have written a few articles for my Toastmaster Club's newsletter. I have quit my corporate job where I was easily earning 5lacs per annum. How can I start my career as a creative writer without compromising with my salary?

Hi Tanya, I think at a certain point in time, happiness takes precedence over pure corporate success. If English is what makes you happy, go for it. Content writing is something that gets better with practice and if you are beginning now, you need to align your expectations to a beginner's level and be prepared to go through the grind. Once you prove you are good at it, you will grow fast and get to the salary you are used to. Usually, companies ask for a trial and if that goes well, you can get a foot in the door in your new found love- content. At a mid level, good content writers are known to draw the kind of salary you have mentioned which means 5 plus years of experience in a content role. I hope I have answered your query. Always remember that confidence, an open mind and perseverance go a long way in helping you make your dreams come true. All the best! Sonali
