Hello Prabjeet. Having an MBA is always an added advantage and does open a wide range of career opportunities. If you have a passion for writing, I would urge you to start a blog of your own and also contribute to other blogging websites at the same time. Once you see traction on the same, you could perhaps take this up professionally and also earn as a content writer. As of now, pls begin writing and start contributing to content related websites and pick a topic or two of your choice. \nHope this helps!\n- Best.\nSakshi

Morning Sakshi. I am an MBA marketing. I am wanting to change my stream & get into writing as I have a passion for the same. I am looking for part time or freelance options. Please help me understand how to go about this.

Dear Prabjeet,\nFirstly, congrats on your MBA. Writing is a great passion and i firmly believe it is a medium of "Thinking on Paper" and outting one's thoughts down. To begin with, identify the topics you would like to write on and then research for related blogging websites who are accepting guest posts. Once, you start this, you can also, apply for a job as a content writer and show samples of your work to the organisation . Writing is a great passion, please continue doing so.\n\nBest wishes,\nSakshi Talwar

Hi Pallavi! It can be overwhelming to kickback your career after marriage and having a baby. However, it is certainly possible and I am glad that you would like to explore other avenues at the same time. It is extremely important for a woman to be financially independent and stand on her own feet. There are a number of ways to go about it: 1) Identify your interests and figure out what you enjoy the most. It is important to follow your passion. 2) Educate yourself on the same. Undertake a course and look at career options at the same time. 3) Choose something that has a career path and a trajectory that shall enable you to earn money as well, once you are equipped with enough knowledge and training, 4) While doing a course, it would be helpful to look out for career opportunities on the side so that once you are through with the education, you already have a job in place. Good luck with everything and please please do not give up on your passion. Please follow your heart and monetize on the same to be financially independent. - Best, Sakshi Talwar

Hi Sakshi. I'm Vidya. I have a wonderful opportunity to restart my career. But it involves me being out 6 days a week and 12 hrs a day. I have a one year old with ample family support. However I'm in a dilemma whether to take it up. If yes how do I plan on giving my baby time. I'm unable to decide and would like a perspective on it. Thanks.

Hello Vidya, I believe that it is so important to give family time to your little one, especially when you have a small baby. At this time, even though you might be fortunate enough to receive family support for your child, but it is so important to devote undivided time to your new born. I would urge you to speak to your seniors at your job and ask them if you could have weekends off and work for fewer hours directly in office and rest of the hours from home. If they dont agree, I would certainly suggest you to look at other opportunities. Hope this helps and you understand that your kid really needs you at the this stage in life.
