Hello Sir, My name is Jeetkaur Rihal and I am an HR professional with 2.5+ years of strong experience in HR including HR Operations, Training and recruitment, with a brief experience in People management, Employee engagement, counselling as well as mentoring. I took a break of 6 months because of my wedding and relocation. Hunted for a job , joined as Assistant Manager - Training in one of the firms. But, I am not at all happy here, have no desk since the last 2 months, no employee welfare in the company, have not been given any training projects since I joined but have been assigned Admin responsibilities. I am desperately trying to get out of here, but I do not want a break again in my career. I have been applying a lot on several job boards. I haven't got any opportunity that would interest me and motivate me to just goo for it. The problem I am facing is 1) I am applying on job boards but unable to get a response from the jobs that match my experience and which interest - (maybe because my resume might be getting blinded due to thousands of applications companies receive everyday) and 2) I am in a dilemma that should I leave my current job and get 2-3 parallel work from home projects? I am really confused here and do not know how to move forward. I know I am capable of a lot more, but I do not see a direction at this point of time. Expecting your guidance and help here. Thanks.

Hi Jeetkaur, I understand the situation, did you discuss about this to the management? Were you hired for this role or was promised something entirely different? Communicating discomfort may help. How about checking out the reasons of not getting shortlisted? May be roles you're applying to are asking something additional than what is there on your Resume? How about acquiring some new certifications trending in market? This can be checked out on these job boards itself by scanning what skills are most sought after by employers. As far as taking a decision of leaving this role is concerned, it entirely depends upon your future plan and no room for regret should be left. Remember work from home jobs are good options when you plan to return back to work in full swing but do not give you a key position. Being an HR professional you must be knowing how it works, right? Stay calm. Did you check out SHEROES job board for matching openings?\nBestView Less
