Hi Bee! I am a content writer with over 4 years of experience in Travel, Education and Digital marketing combined and am venturing out into Songwriting. I am currently confused with the way the interviews are going with employers looking at Songwriting (or any other activity other than the mentioned job) as someone who is not focussed. I do know that I can completely keep it off the resume but I want to be known for doing both. Any life hacks for this? I would appreciate any take you have on marketing my combined skills.

Hello Nivedtia I have to say - if I were an employer, your song-writing skills would certainly catch my attention. I think it's very cool. However it's always worthwhile adapting and tailoring your resume, depending on the job you're applying for. So it's a question of playing very close attention to every word of the job spec - and if it indicates a need for creative flair then by all means include your song-writing talents. But if not, then just leave it out and focus on your other skills. The more experience you gain, the more flexibility you have with how you present yourself and which features you chose to highlight in your resume! Good luck.
