Economy
Start-up ecosystem building has gained a lot of momentum in recent times and the focus is on creating
an enabling environment for new start-ups to establish and grow. The Prime Minister of India,
Shri Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech last year announced the “Start-up India” initiative.
This initiative aims at fostering entrepreneurship and promoting innovation by creating an ecosystem
that is conducive for growth of Start-ups. The objective is that India must become a nation of job
creators instead of being a nation of job seekers. This session would deliberate on the Start-up policy
and regulatory challenges and stress on the importance of improving such measures, with a focus to
positively impact the Start-up ecosystem in India
