#VoicesOfCommunity features voices of women entrepreneurs who have taken the plunge into the unforeseen life of an entrepreneur. Sonal Pande , Founder at Dibz, which brings you exclusive deals from the exclusive diners. It aims to change how deals are perceived and consumed. Dibz is a hyperlocal platform offering sensible yet lucrative deals at only the 'Best' & 'High-Performance' Brands/Outlets in your city. Let Sonal takeover to tell you more.

Before Dibz, I spent over 10 years enjoying an early access to some of the most spectacular innovations of this era! Undoubtedly, I enjoyed my early years in the patent world, working on litigations, and due diligence assignments for global tech bigwigs. But, after spending 10 years working with top MNCs, I and my husband were raring to start something of our own. Being true foodies, we were always on the lookout for good offers to eat out. The problem with existing deal platforms is the lack of good options, most listed places are either non-performing or new unknown brands. We realized that it was the incompetence of the existing deal models that kept the top brands at bay. Eureka!

Dibz is an app-based real-time dynamic platform for excess inventory/capacity liquidation. We have started with the F&B segment and our geographical focus is to establish presence in all Tier 2 and 3 Indian cities. Dibz App offers deals at the most coveted restaurants and hotels which otherwise remain distant from discounting. We make it possible through investigation of each partner’s business dynamics, thus enabling strategic proffering. We go that extra mile to give the Dibz experience to our customers! When a customer comes back happy – that’s the Aha moment for me!”

Being an entrepreneur has its own set of challenges that no one can prepare you for! It requires a lot of hard work, perseverance and constant self-assurance! “The word ‘deals’ has been abused so badly that it has skewed the perception of the businesses offering it and the expectations of the customers availing it. Moreover, the rise and fall of innumerous deal platforms every other day has led to strong negative belief which plays against the core business model. Thus, there was inhibitions from the merchant partners initially!”

I imagine Dibz where it will be a couple of years from now. I then think if all the pain and effort today, is worth it? The answer is always Yes! ? Growing up in a small city like Varanasi – we didn’t see too many working women, it was a common perception that if a woman is working, it’s probably because of financial crunch! Now that has changed completely, people have accepted the fact, that women work because they want to and not because they have to!”
