Meet the SHEROES - Nisha Samson

Condé Nast was the first International publishing house to foray into the Indian market. Some of the well known magazines published by Condé Nast in India include Vogue, Condé Nast Traveller and GQ. 

Today we speak with Nisha Samson who works as the Managing Editor here. Let's see what she wants to share with us today,

What line of work are you currently in?
I currently work as a Managing Editor with Condé Nast India. Over the last nine years, I’ve been extremely fortunate to work with some of the best media houses in the country, across mediums.

How did the inspiration to enter this field of work come about?
My career in journalism found me. I was studying to be a psychologist; however, I was and still am very passionate about the written word. It was this passion that drove me to journalism school and love for what I do has been my driving force and inspiration thus far.

What is your experience like working at Condé Nast?
Exciting, challenging and fulfilling. Condé Nast strives for excellence and as a part of the Conde Nast India family, I find myself waiting to get to work every single day with renewed passion and will. It isn’t a job; it’s a way of life that brings out the very best in me as a writer, editor and media professional.

What are your future professional plans?
Besides continuing to excel at my job, I will be authoring a book soon. There is a lot more on the career front of course but watch the magic as it unfolds.

What advice would you give young careerists setting out on their journey?
If you don’t love what you do, you’re wasting your time.
