Indore is a celebrated place itself! Situated right in the heart of the country, it does not miss to pulse a single beat. And now that we all have had our new year celebrations done, let me share how the people of Indore celebrated their entry to the new year 2019!

I was wishings few of my friends and relatives Happy New Year who are from Indore and I was pleasantly surprised that they had their own different ways to celebrate the new year.

#1. In-house party

A cousin called up to wish me well for New Year and I found out that yesterday night he had hosted a grand in-house party at his place. With barbeques being made and bonfire at the center of his garden, music of his own choice and with his bunch of favourite people he had the best new year ever. “Indore is well known for its climate this time”, he said and continued, “ having an open roof party is the best thing one can do to celebrate the new year”.

#2. Clubs and restaurants

A newly married couple from our office had been to Indore for a short trip and they posted pictures on Facebook. The ambiance and surroundings that were seen in the picture were so mesmerizing that I felt compelled to call them up and ask where they had been.

“There are multiple restaurants and party clubhouses that organize parties here. we accidentally bumped onto this restaurant and enjoyed our New Year eve to the fullest. The best part is we never expected it to be so much fun in here”, the couple quoted.

#3. Outings

I had been calling a very dear friend of mine for a long time to wish - "Happy New Year", but she was unreachable. Finally, when I got her call I asked her where she had been, that she was not reachable through the network?

She told me that she has contacted a trekkers group and had gone off for trekking nearby Indore. She spent her new year eve with some newly made friends beside a lake and had a beautiful adventurous evening in the camp. “Far away from all the city lights and music, I decided to bid the last year in a little peaceful way”, said my friend.

#4. Fine dining

As Indore is directly proportional to good food, we can not doubt how well the city can deliver a fine dining experience. And I got to see the glimpse of this when my aunt, who is also a connoisseur told me about her rendezvous with a restaurant which caters to an upscale clientele and provides the highest quality of food.

She was all alone this new year as her husband was away for a business meeting, but it seemed like she very much enjoyed her company for the New Year celebration. A very famous fine-dining restaurant at Indore, where she had visited all by herself, made her taste buds experience the time of their life. “I was thrilled to have the scrumptious dinner with world-class facilities and service! What a new year treat I gave to myself!”, exclaimed my super-excited aunt.

#5. Events and shows

What is it to be with a bubbly gang of girls?

I wish I could share the pictures of my cousins, who are currently studying in their junior college in Indore. They spent half the night out with their girl gang enjoying at the event organized by a group of youngsters. There were dance performances, orchestras and many such entertainment shows which filled the Indore air with laughter, happiness in galore.

“We loved it! I think we will always choose this kind of events for any such occasion” chirped the gang of girls over a video call.

#6. Family get-togethers

Last but not the least, there is no place in the world that would give you love and warmth as much as a family gives. And few of my relatives in Indore proved this statement as aptly as it could have been possible. Ranging from Nana-Nani to Chacha-Chachi to Mama- Mami to Bua-Phufa, and to half a dozen young cousins, all these people under one roof had the ultimate fun! All the ladies chit-chatting and the men enjoying their drinks and food while the children playing their hearts out, made the best start of the New Year for them.

While talking to all of these Indoris, I was wondering how lively the people are. No matter what, they know how to enjoy the occasion in their own Indore-style.

By the way, do let us know how was your new year (even if you are not from Indore :P )
