Give A Little, Get A Little (More)
During my morning walk in the park today, I met Tanya, a cheerful 15 year old girl. She seemed awfully happy just walking by the footpath, she would greet everyone, smile at the sight of a flower, chase the dogs and listen patiently, the life stories of the elderly ones.
I was amused by the wisdom of this young girl. I went to her and started talking. She told me that six months back she had her knee replaced as she was suffering from severe arthritis, and that finally the new homeopathic medicine was working wonders in keeping her sinus away so she could come to the park. Both of us cried, our hearts cringed but, the real winner was happiness.
“It is the little things in life, which we take for granted, are the ones which actually matter in the end. Be with your parents a little more, wake up early, feel the freshness in the air, play with a child, work with your heart…you will then experience life in its purest form. Gratitude is the greater good that we all seek.” says Dr. Tanu Arora
Here are a few things that most successful people in the world are thankful for:
Health
“It is health that is real wealth, not pieces of gold and silver” ~Mahatma Gandhi
“Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.” ~ Thomas Jefferson
Family
“At the end of the day, life is about being happy being who you are, and I feel like we are so blessed to have the support system and the best family to really just support each other no matter what we're going through.”
~Kim Kardashian
Being Alive
"Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive that is you-er than you!"
~Dr. Suess
"I wake up curious every day and every day I'm surprised by something. And if I can just recognize that surprise every day and say, "Oh, that's a new thing, that's a new gift that I got today that I didn't even know about yesterday," it keeps me going. It keeps me more than going. It keeps me enthusiastic and grateful."
~Michael J. Fox
