Finding A Work-From-Home Opportunity: Bhavna's Story

Bhavna Bhatia who found a work from home opportunity on SHEROES talks to us about her journey.

Tell us about yourself and your roots?
I am an engineer. Basically I come from a defence background. I was born in Allahabad and bought up in the North mostly. I got married then moved to Bangalore.

What does your current role entail? 
I have been married for 12 years and have a 6 year old son. I decided to take a break after having my son. Motherhood was a lovely experience and today I have no regrets about taking a 5 year break.

I got a WFH opportunity with Akosha through SHEROES and restarted my career. This not only kept me occupied and happy, but also gave me the confidence to get back into the work force.

What is your source of inspiration and what would you say to women on their career journeys?
My source of inspiration are all the women who work so hard in raising their kids and are all set to get back to workforce later. It may be tough to find yourself the right opportunity after a career break. But, it's not the end. There are 'N' number of opportunities awaiting you. And once you get it, it takes you a few weeks to settle back.
