5 Pre-Diwali Preparation Tips
Diwali is round the corner. It’s time to bring out the candles and decorate the home with colourful lights and diyas. With just a day to go, maybe these simple, quick, preparation tips may help!
Easy sprucing up
Put out colourful cloths over the sofas, keep cushions around the floor corners. Make the living room look colourful and vibrant. Arrange a couple of Diyas around the corners of the rooms and entrance points. Voila, your house is ready for the day!
Snacks and Goodies
If you haven’t had the time to home cook traditional snacks this year, stock up on alternatives. You can never go wrong with a couple of Indian sweets, dry fruits and fried snacks. You can also choose to book a few traditional goodies from private caterers. Arrange them neatly in bowls and set them out on the dining and centre tables.
Quick facelift
Everyone wants their home to look perfect during Diwali. Spend a couple of minutes arranging flower vases, try using fresh flowers as decoration around the house, launder the linen and set out the fancier ones. These simple fixes will make your home sparkle.
Use what you have
If you haven’t had time to shop or to get Diwali cleaning done, do your best with what you have! Pull out last year’s decoration, make use of the fancier crockery, change the seating arrangements just to make it look more festive.
Set up the day before
Set up the decorations, candles, flowers and diyas a day before so that you can focus on the festivities on d-day!
Have a great Diwali!
