12 Times When J.K Rowling Went After Trump And Won Our Hearts
J.K. Rowling, as always, was one of them. Anyone who follows the Harry Potter author on Twitter and enjoys watching her mercilessly crush trolls with her wand-sharp wit will know why: when it comes to shut downs, epic exchanges and just generally being an awesome person, there are few who can compete.
It looks like J.K. Rowling is ready for Donald Trump to flood her Twitter mentions.
The "Harry Potter" author, a vocal Trump critic who has even said Trump is worse than Voldemort , seems willing to champion this new calling.
“Must be telling the truth,” Rowling wrote in reply to a Trump tweet written in his signature style. “He used caps.”
Rowling has been very vocal about her opposition to Trump, with an exceptionally polished insult game.
In response to a concerned tweet suggesting Trump might also consider her “overrated,” Rowling was unequivocal in her response. “Never forget that some people’s good opinion would be more insulting than their abuse!” she explained, adding one more notch in her belt of political comments.
Celebrities took to Twitter to respond, but none did it with quite the mic-dropping elegance that J.K. Rowling did when she responded to a tweet from writer Aaron Gillies. She seems so positively unbothered that it's almost magical.
Rowling has come out as a serious hero for the people via social media, particularly as it relates to Mr. Trump. You can see some of her best burns here:
The time when she took Donald's Trump former spokesperson
The time when she took on Trump with this well worded, post debate burn
And this one
Oh, also this one
The time she refused to be silenced
Here's to hoping she spends the next four years letting us all know exactly what's on her mind. Cheers, JK!
